Several years ago, I made a conscious decision to follow my heart. To simply BEGIN...
I started nurturing a daily creative practice, which involves playing with different mediums in a non-judgmental way. Witnessing the interaction of color through water media has become one of my favorite methods to observe and study personal exploration, creative practice, and connection.
I love the dynamic effect of water color and gouache when painting plants and landscape. I am especially fond of painting cactus and succulent plants, along with flowers. The phenomenal sky that accompanies sunrises and sunsets is often represented in my work. My hands are often in clay. I am also currently studying surface pattern design and learning Adobe Illustrator as a new medium. I am excited to see the results of collaborating with this powerful tool.
I am finding my voice through this practice. It challenges me. I feel grounded. Rooted. Motivated. I am thankful for the growth and opportunities that continue to be the result.
I hope you feel inspired to contact me with questions and comments.
Or, to simply BEGIN something sweet for yourself.
